AC Shadows Reveals Unexpected AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the formal release, "A strange encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited practices and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine group.
The mission focuses on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Features
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an special katana in addition to several objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
